UNESCO Director-General Visits the Philippines

26 March 2011 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced that United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Director-General Irina Bokova arrived in Manila Thursday to undertake an official visit to the Philippines.

She was welcomed at the airport by Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Policy Erlinda F. Basilio.

Director-General Bokova’s visit to the Philippines will be held under the theme “Interfaith dialogue, education and building a culture of peace in fighting poverty.”
